Hybrid Construction
OBR are champions of innovation. A perfect example of this is our use of Hybrid concrete construction.
This is a method of construction which integrates precast concrete and cast in-situ concrete to make best advantage of their different inherent qualities. The accuracy, speed and high-quality finish of precast components can be combined with the economy and flexibility of cast in-situ concrete.
This technique produces buildable and more importantly competitive structures, therefore the client receiving the overall benefits of safe and faster construction with a consistent performance. OBR are always looking to improve on the “Hybrid” RC structure through R&D with designers and suppliers.
OBR is actively engaged with clients looking for economic solutions and fast track design techniques which include the incorporation of Precast and steel elements.
OBR have many established partnerships with various precast suppliers and have undertaken several hybrid schemes over the years.
Case Study/ example: Media City Manchester
"OBR executed the works all to a very tight programme and were found to be very proactive and have a good eye for quality and detailing on the Project. OBR were extremely user friendly and I could not recommend them more highly."
