Bouygues UK engaged OBR Group for the construction of the RC frame on the iconic Castle Park View development in the centre of Bristol. The 26-storey tower, along with four lower-level blocks, has become the tallest building in Bristol, surpassing the historic St Mary Redcliffe constructed over 500 years ago.

OBR’s team were dynamic in their approach, preferring to slipform each of the four cores. The tower core was successfully slipped in seven weeks and quickly became a new landmark on Bristol’s skyline. By working closely together, the works were completed to a high quality and ahead of programme, despite the impacts and site closures associated with Covid-19.

I would have no hesitation in working with OBR again in the future.

The scope of works on the Runcorn Thermal Power Station project included complex substructure and superstructure elements, including the Waste Bunker, with certain walls approaching 50m in height. The execution of the works involved significant temporary works design, which OBR managed diligently.

OBR delivered on safety, quality, and schedule on what we would regard as a technically challenging project. The personal commitment of their senior management was a significant factor in this success. A key factor in selecting OBR for this project was their capacity to deliver. OBR have executed projects for Sisk since 2000, and I have personal experience of working with them on a number of projects dating back to that time.
